Instructions for Ice Ring
- Combine apple, pear, and rum in a clean glass jar and allow to infuse (refrigerated) for three days. This part is optional but makes a nice flavor and visual addition to the punch. If you don’t have 3 days, skip the rum and put the apple and pear into ice cubes as follows in step 2.
- Drain apples and pear from rum, discarding rum. Fill ice cube trays or a bundt pan with water and infused fruit and freeze until firm. These will be added to your punch just before serving. If you will have a lot of fruit so feel free to save some to garnish the punch glasses.
Instructions for Punch
- Pour all liquids into a large container and stir well. Add I sliced apples and pears and allow the flavors to combine for 2 hours before serving.
- Just before serving, add in ice ring/ice cubes and garnish with reserved fruit.
