Hot Apple and Pomegranate Cider

- 6 Cloves, whole
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks (3-inches or so)
- 1 Lemon Rind strip (3-inches)
- 1 Orange Rind strip (3-inches)
- 8 Cups Apple Cider, unfiltered
- 1 Cup Pomegranate Juice (can use cranberry, in a pinch)
- 3/4 Cup Orange Juice, freshly squeezed (2 large oranges)
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed (1–2 lemons)
Instructions
- Put cloves, cinnamon sticks and rinds in cheesecloth and tie with twine (or use a large tea strainer).
- Combine remaining ingredients in a large dutch oven and add cloves bag, brining to a simmer.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then remove cloves bag.
- Serve immediately or allow to cool and refigerate, reheating over the stove or in a crock pot.
