Cherry Compote Breakfast Yogurt Parfaits

cherry parfait

As many of you know, I get SUPER excited about the newest seasonal produce. But cherries – that’s a whole new level. Because cherries, as you know, are not available year-round like, say, oranges or zucchini. They’re only here for ONE month per year! Maybe two if you include the Oregon and Washington seasons. So, when they’re here, I aim to use them as much as humanly possible. Which is why, dear friends, I decided to make these delicious Cherry Compote Breakfast Parfaits one morning for the fam. ‘Cuz feeding people is my love language, you know?

And guess what – they could NOT be easier!

Tips for Making Cherry Compote Breakfast Parfaits

Step One

Make my Easy Cherry Compote or buy some!  You could even use cherry jam, if desired

Step Two

Buy some dairy-free, unsweetened yogurt.  I like plain or vanilla but you do you.  My current FAVE is a cashew-based yogurt made by Forager’s.  Cashews make it soooooo creamy!

Step Three

Make or buy Paleo Granola.  “Paleo Granola” just means that it doesn’t have any junk in it like gluten or refined sugars.  There are a TON of different brands out there so find one you like.  Key indicators that it’s Paleo (besides it saying so on the label) or that it uses honey or maple syrup as a sweetener.

And that’s it!  You just layer those three and enjoy!  Easy-peasy fancy-looking (and tasting) breakfast.
